Mieto Mokka – light-caffeine coffee, dark roast
€10,90
Mieto Mokka is the new coffee from Finland's most awarded roastery and represents an entirely new product category, with 50% less caffeine compared to regular filter coffee.
The caffeine content has been halved by blending regular and decaffeinated versions of the same coffee. This way, we can control the coffee's flavor and offer a new category. Half-caffeine coffees are available in the United States and the United Kingdom but are less common in continental Europe or the Nordic countries.
Mieto Mokka is produced by the Divino Nino smallholder community operating in the Huila region of Colombia. The community consists of about 50 farming families and is led by Edilma Polania Bermeo.
The blend of three Arabica varieties (Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia) is grown at high altitudes, between 1300 and 1750 meters. The regular coffee is processed using the washed method, and the caffeine is removed from the decaffeinated version using traditional ethyl acetate derived from sugar beets.
Mieto Mokka is a lighter summer coffee, suitable for morning, midday, and afternoon coffee breaks. It is a medium-dark roast taste experience, with the 50% caffeine content providing structure and a full mouthfeel, while the decaffeinated half offers softness and gentleness. The flavor hints at milk chocolate and light nuttiness.
Mieto Mokka is for those who want less buzz but still a bit!
The coffee is packed in a convenient 220-gram package, making it ideal for gifts, souvenirs, or evening coffee.
