This Peruvian organic coffee, with a hint of darkness, comes from the mountainous province of Jaén. The blend is made from five Arabica varieties cultivated by small farmers in the region, offering dark chocolate and caramel aromas. The mouthfeel is smooth and full.
Enjoy it leisurely, perhaps as campfire coffee, in a thermos, or even brewed with an Aeropress. It also works well with a drip coffee maker when hiking from room to room at home.
The pine on the Retkikahvi's label is also found in the well-known Hämmauteensuo bog in Lappeenranta. In the picture, the meadow pipit standing on the left enjoys the bog environment of Hämmäauteensuo.
