Tykkitee, Satamatee, Hyväntuulentee - Lehmus Roastery launches its own tea line

Tykkitee, Satamatee, Hyväntuulentee - Lehmus Roastery tuo markkinoille oman teelinjaston

Lehmus Roastery is launching its own tea line today. The Tea Tie series includes seven high-quality teas and tea drinks that introduce tea and coffee lovers to the fascinating world of quality teas.

The teas are named and inspired by the old roads in Lappeenranta. They include Satamatee, Tykkitee, Vanha happotee, Hyväntuulentee, Kuutostee, Lentäjäntee and Marssitee.

The idea behind the tea series was to continue the popular neighborhood coffee series with its own theme suitable for tea. This is how the Teen tie line was born, where you can take an adventure along romantic roads along old Lappeenranta.

The bottom of the jar shows a 1950s Lappeenranta atlas with its original nomenclature. The packages are large cardboard tubes that can be reused.

Ecology is one of Lehmus Roastery's important values. Therefore, special attention was paid to ensuring that the tubes are durable in use.

A loose tea sales point has also appeared at Satamatie 6, where customers can conveniently, environmentally friendly and economically fill their own jar with fresh tea.

The Seven Tea Road leads you to discover quality tea

Lehmus Roastery has been planning its own tea line for about a year now. The tea must be of particularly high quality, tasty and sustainably produced.

The teas are made in collaboration with the German Mount Everest Tea Company. Lehmus Roastery's tea department delved deep into the world of tea and tasted countless different teas during the development process. The tea recipes have been developed in collaboration with Mount Everest. The ingredients only contain real tea and the flavored teas contain real spices, such as dried raspberry, apple, strawberry and orange.

The Seven Teas line has products suitable for both green tea lovers and black tea lovers. There is also Oolong, a spicy herbal infusion and a berry-fruit infusion.

Lehmus Roastery has long been interested in tea. The shelves at Lehmus Roastery's roastery-café at Satamatie 6 have had a wide selection of different teas, so it was natural that Finland's best roastery would also have its own tea selection.

"Before coffee, tea was the hot drink that filled my cup. Especially tasty herbal teas were my favorites for a long time. I have also become familiar with the health benefits of tea, having sold a lot of tea in my previous job as a retailer. After extensive testing, consideration and planning, we are on the verge of the truth with our own line.

"In both coffee and tea, we offer different taste experiences for lovers of many types of tea. We don't limit ourselves to anything other than high quality and we let it go," says Visa Tuovinen, roasting master at Lehmus Roastery.

Teas from green to black to fruity

Lehmus Roastery's teas are as follows.

Pilot Road
Chun Mee Green Tea

Classic green tea comes from southern China. Named for its leaves rolled into the shape of eyebrows, this tea is strong and captivating in the cup.

What kind of road are we taking?
"We accelerate along Lentejäntie past old stone houses towards the south, raise the landing gear and head east. During the long flight we enjoy soothing green tea, which is good for the body and mind."

Ingredients: Green tea

Country of origin of tea: China

Brewing: 70-80 degrees, 15-18 g/l or 3-3.5 tsp/dl, 2-2.5 min

Six tea
Green tea, ginger eucalyptus

A refreshing ginger green tea with eucalyptus that refreshes like a breeze from an open window on your way to world adventures.

Ingredients: Green tea (61.7%), eucalyptus leaves (7.5%), ginger pieces (5%), tomato flakes, mace flowers, spices, mandarin seeds

Country of origin of tea: China

Brewing: 80-90 degrees, 10-12 g/l or 2-2.5 tsp/dl, 1-2 min

Good weather is blowing.
Raspberry Oolong

Oolong tea falls somewhere between black and green tea. Oolong can be steeped and infused multiple times, as the tea opens up and the flavors deepen with each round.

What kind of road are we taking?
"The soft raspberry flavor slowly reveals itself like secret stairs that lead the traveler through the shadows of the linden trees towards the southernmost shore of Lake Saimaa."

Ingredients: Oolong tea, raspberry (10%), spices, rose petals, cornflowers.

Country of origin of tea: China

Stewing: 80-90 degrees, 15-18 g/l or 3 -3.5 tsp/dl, 2 -3 min

Old sour tea
Assam, second crop TGFOPI

Our black tea from Assam, Corramore, India is strong-flavored yet familiar. TGFOPI refers to quality - the tea leaf buds are picked at the very beginning of the harvest season and the best of them are selected for this quality.

What kind of road are we taking?
"Strong, smooth and malty Assam is at its best on its own or with milk. As the drink cools, it's nice to stare at the old industrial milieu and imagine all the heavy floats that the logging guys once steered on Lake Saimaa."

Ingredients: Assam tea

Country of origin of tea: India

Stewing: 100 degrees, 15-18 g/l or 3 -3.5 tsp/dl, 4 -5 min

Cannon tea
Premium Earl Grey

A precious black tea, as dark as gunpowder, that centuries ago was carted along a smooth paved road to protect Rakuunamäki. The tea has real orange pieces and a rich flavor.

Ingredients: Black tea (Ceylon, Assam and Keemun), orange segments, lime slices, spices, orange pieces (orange juice concentrate and pulp), cornflower.

Tea Origin: India, China

Steeping: 10 0 degrees, 12-15 g/l or 2.5-3 tsp/dl, 3-4 min

Harbor tea
Wild berry fruit infusion

A fruity, sweet and refreshing brew. Port tea hibiscus (hibisci sabdariffae) is a popular ingredient in the drink worldwide. It gives a fresh taste and copper color, which, combined with the flavors of real fruits and berries, creates a harmonious berry aroma.

What kind of road are we taking?
"The taste is especially strawberry and raspberry like in childhood summers on the slopes of the ramparts and fruits like from the alleys of hot Pallo."

Ingredients: Hibiscus, apple pieces, rosehip peel, orange peel, spices, strawberry pieces (3%), raspberry (3%)

Steeping: 10 0 degrees, 20-25 g/l or 4 -5 tsp/dl, 5-10 min

March road
Licorice herbal infusion

Fullness and gentle sweetness from real spices and herbs. Thanks to the stomach-friendly licorice root, Marssitee is perfect as a dessert drink, for example.

What kind of road are we taking?
"A spicy liquorice herbal infusion, the scent of which reveals the aromas of a nearby confectionery factory. The road leads towards the shore, from which the view of the vast Saimaa opens up."

Ingredients: Anise seed, liquorice root (26.5%), star anise, mallow flower, spices

Steeping: 10 0 degrees, 20-25 g/l or 4 -5 tsp/dl, 5-10 min
